Don Baker was recommended to us as a honest rv inspector. We were buying our first rv and did not have a clue about anything rv related. We found a motorhome that looked clean and had all the features we were looking for. We purchased it contingent upon it passing a licensed rv inspector inspection. He was able to go inspect the coach three days after our call. We received a call from him saying that this coach had rust in places he had never seen rust especially for a model this new. He also had several other concerns. I contacted the salesman and told him what the inspector found and sent them a copy of the report, they cancelled our contract. I had a call from the owner of the dealership the next day saying that they were going to reimburse us the cost of the inspection. You do not find many dealership that are willing to do the right thing. We kept looking and about a week later the salesman called saying they had somebody who was going to put on consignment the same year and model we had looked at and it even had a second AC unit that had been added. We went up and looked at it and drove it. We put it under contract contingent on Don Baker’s inspection. When Don does an inspection he looks at more things than a home inspector. He spent about six hours checking out the coach and called on his way home and said he would send us his report. He only found three things and they agreed to fix them. The report you get is so detailed with pictures and documentation, I could never imagine anyone doing an inspection with more detail than Don Baker. We purchased the rv and are enjoying the rv lifestyle. If you are buying a preowned rv I would highly recommend Don Baker RV Inspections to check out the coach before buying it. They can look great on the outside, but to have it inspected properly inside and out can save you from making a bad decision.
